The Best "Worst Show Ever"...Erik_Schubach Posted: 2008-01-04 09:14:57

I am always waiting, wishing and hoping that some of the more obscure scifi television series would be released on DVD... and recently my prayers have been answered with a stream of releases and announcements such as Voyagers, The Invisible Man (From the SciFi Channel), The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones and The Secrets of ISIS.

But the best news was that the worst scifi show ever was just released after Christmas. Galactica 1980! I was an avid fan of the original Battlestar Galactica series, and Galactica 1980 (where the Galactica finally fids Earth) was such a bad spinoff it effectively killed the franchise for over two decades.

It featured flying motorcycles and bad lines such as the Galactica crew observing the freeways of L.A. and saying something like "Look at the precision and skill of their military formations". But even as bad as it was, true Battlestar fans like me still enjoyed seeing the Galactica in orbit and the occasional Vyper fighter.

It was about 4 seconds after this DVD set became available that I had purchased it for my collection.
